Fondue Music artists Slackwax have contributed two songs – a cover of Hero and an original track titled Breaking – to Wolfgang Becker’s final film „Der Held vom Bahnhof Friedrichstraße“. More than 20 years after his acclaimed hit Good Bye, Lenin!, Becker began working on this adaptation of Maxim Leo’s novel before sadly passing away in December 2024. His friends and collaborators completed the film in his memory.

The cast features Charly Hübner and Christiane Paul in the leading roles, alongside Leonie Benesch, Thorsten Merten, Peter Kurth, Jürgen Vogel and Daniel Brühl. Written by Constantin Lieb and produced by X Filme Creative Pool, the film is set to be released in German cinemas on December 11, 2025.
